Nepalese student died allegedly by suicide at KIIT Bhubaneswar last week. Her death led to protests and claims that university did not take her complaints of harassment seriously.

Nepal's Ambassador to India, Shankar Sharma, on Wednesday, expressed satisfaction with the prompt action taken by the Indian government and the Odisha state government regarding the recent incident at KIIT University involving the death of a Nepali student.

The Indian Embassy in Nepal said ‘reports of misconduct against students are being investigated and those responsible will be held accountable as per the law’.
