On April 24, 2025, the company announced that 597,630 full-size trucks and SUVs in the United States are being recalled. The recall is due to a manufacturing defect that can result in the vehicles’ V8 engines failing without any warning to the driver. This defect affects approximately three percent of the GM vehicles in this category.
