Calgary forward Connor Zary was suspended two games without pay Thursday for elbowing Vancouver defenseman Elias Pettersson during the Canucks' 4-3 shootout victory over the Flames. Zary, 23, was assessed a minor penalty for interference on the play at 11:19 of the first period Wednesday night.

The Vancouver Canucks beat the Calgary Flames 4-3 in a shootout on Wednesday night. Defenseman Quinn Hughes made his return from injury and made an impact right away. He had an assist in nearly 30 minutes of ice time in his first game since March 1.

Talk about a dramatic ending. The Vancouver Canucks topped the Calgary Flames in a 4-3 shootout win. While Vancouver wasn’t up for the races for a good chunk of the game, they found their footing in the third to even things back up and bring this game into overtime.
