A federal judge on Friday held Rudy Giuliani in civil contempt for skirting an agreement not to make new false claims about two Georgia election workers he was ordered to pay $146 million for defaming.

Two Georgia election workers asked a federal judge to hold Rudy Giuliani in contempt for allegedly continuing to defame them in violation of a court order.

The former New York City mayor still owes two former Georgia poll workers $148 million in defamation damages, a sum he remains unable to pay.

Rudy Giuliani has been found in contempt of court again, but this time, the judge is using a different tactic. Thus far, Judge Beryl Howell has not held Giuliani accountable for contempt, but those days are ending.

A federal judge on Friday found former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani in contempt of court for his continued defamation of two former Georgia election workers.

A federal judge warned him he could be sent to jail if he doesn’t stop spreading lies about two election workers who won a $148 million defamation judgement against him.

It’s the second time this week Giuliani has been held in contempt. Manhattan-based U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman entered the contempt order against Giuliani after finding he had failed to adequately respond to Moss and Freeman’s efforts to obtain information related to their efforts to collect the massive defamation judgment.

A judge found Rudy Giuliani in contempt of court in the defamation case against him involving former Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, the second such finding this week.
