A National Water Prediction Service (NWPS) map shows flood risk across Washington state as days of heavy rain hit the state, leading up to the threat of record-breaking, deadly flooding in some areas. Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson called the situation "extremely serious" on Wednesday. "The next few days are critical," he said.

The threat is far from over for millions in the Pacific Northwest.

Eastside Fire and Rescue, which services parts of King County just east of Seattle, said it helped with water rescues on Wednesday, saving three adults and a dog after their home flooded.
