The coldest air of the season is expected to arrive this weekend thanks to a powerful cold front sweeping through Saturday.

INDIANAPOLIS — A strong cold front moving across Indiana late Tuesday will usher in several days of sharply colder weather, gusty winds and the potential for the season’s first measurable snow heading into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

A Tuesday morning cold front will bring light snow to the mountains, with a breezy and cooler day on the Plains.

The Lehigh Valley will see mild temperatures and showers before a cold front brings wind gusts up to 25 mph and drops temperatures into the 40s for the holiday and weekend.
