Many people in the Somali community say they feel fearful and angry in the aftermath of U.S. President Donald Trump’s tirade against Somali communities in Minnesota.

Al-Shabab generates over $150 million annually through extortion and taxation in Somalia, where both Islamic State and al Qaeda operate, according to the State Department.

President Trump ended the deportation protections for Somalis in Minnesota immediately Friday, citing fraud claims against Gov. Tim Walz in a Truth Social post announcement.
