Tesla shares kicked off 2026 with a rough start, as the company lost its title of the world’s biggest electric vehicle maker to China’s BYD early this month due to a decline in deliveries.

Tesla posted an EPS of $0.50 per share, beating expectations of $0.45 per share and whisper number of $0.41 per share. The company was up against revenue expectations of $24.79 billion and posted a beat of $24.901 in actual revenue.
