CLEVELAND, Ohio — Sunday’s series finale between the Guardians and White Sox will open in a rain delay at Progressive Field. Originally slated for a 2 p.m. first pitch, the Guardians announced at 1:27 that the contest will not start on time.

The Chicago White Sox have spent the past two seasons searching for real signs of progress. Winning 10 straight home series is the clearest indication yet that something has changed.

These two teams who have been flip-flopping between first and second place in the American League Central on almost a daily basis still play each other six more times.
