Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced the lawsuit Wednesday afternoon, the same day it was filed in the United States Court of International Trade. “Trump’s tariffs are unlawful and will cause severe harm to families across Minnesota, so I’m filing a lawsuit to block them,” Ellison wrote in a statement.

Twelve states are suing President Trump over sweeping tariffs, claiming they’re unconstitutional, economically harmful and imposed without congressional approval.

With roughly 36 weeks left in the year, Musk could spend between 36 and 72 more days aiding President Trump this year—on top of the roughly 90 days he’s already been there. President Donald Trump has repeatedly teased potentially running for a third term in the White House.
