Mayor Cherelle Parker said five people are still hospitalized following a fatal medical jet crash in Northeast Philadelphia, three of whom are in critical condition.

Jet Rescue Air Ambulance said a child patient and five other people were on the Learjet 55 when it plummeted to the ground shortly after takeoff around 6:30 p.m

Investigators have not been able to locate the aircraft's black box yet, which could provide clues into the cause of the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that a Learjet 55 crashed around 6:30 p.m. ET in northeast Philadelphia, after departing the Northeast Philadelphia Airport. The plane was carrying six people, according to the agency. The FAA also confirmed the plane was en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.

A young girl who’d just finished battling a life-threatening medical condition was one of seven people killed when a doomed air ambulance that went down in Philadelphia.

Dispatch reports say the plane crashed near the 7200 block of Calvert Street, where there are rowhomes. The reports said there were cars on fire.
