Samsung has launched the Galaxy A06 5G as an affordable smartphone that will bring next-generation network speeds to more people.

Samsung is offering £200 for any broken or long-forgotten phones that are gathering dust in your drawers. It's all thanks to a supercharged new trade-in offer when you add the Galaxy S25, S25+, or Galaxy S25 Ultra to your shopping basket on the Samsung online store.

One of the attractive devices is the Galaxy SmartTag, although its biggest downside is it’s a Samsung exclusive and only works with Galaxy phones. Until now, that is. As detailed by 9to5Google, there’s now an app available called uTag (universal tag) that expands support for all.

Samsung is leaning heavily into the trade-in racket as a way of dropping prices for its new smartphones. Virtually any deal the company runs will include wildly high trade-in valuations. It even launched a new standalone trade-in scheme in Korea and France that doesn’t require the purchase of a new device.

While everyone was busy looking at the new iPhone 16E, Samsung Chile accidentally confirmed the existence of the Korean company’s own affordable rival phones. The Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 are all currently listed on an out-of-warranty repairs page,
