The NFL Combine is here and it is an exciting time for young prospects. However, at around this time, the NFLPA releases their grades. These were given by the players themselves and there is so much I learned by reading all of them.
Fitzpatrick was the starting quarterback on the last Jets team to finish over .500. That year (2015), the journeyman quarterback threw a franchise record 31 touchdown passes to 15 interceptions and led New York to a 10-6 record.
When the NFLPA released their annual report cards on teams across the NFL this week, it was not a good day to be the New York Jets... especially owner Woody Johnson. The survey is conducted with 1,695 players and it allows them to grade teams on a variety of categories.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is not so sure about this year's NFLPA player survey... or at least as it pertains to the responses aimed at the New York Jets. The former quarterback noticed that the responses toward the Jets and team owner Woody Johnson were pretty harsh.
The NFLPA issued their annual team report cards on Wednesday and the Jets finished 29th out of 32 NFL teams in the rankings. Johnson was given an F, the only owner in the NFL to be graded that low. Johnson received a B- last year. Johnson acknowledged that he needs to improve.
The Jets' owner got the worst grade of any owner in football in a recent survey of NFL players from across the league.
In the case of New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, that intervention may have come courtesy of the players on his team. In the NFL Players Association's annual report card regarding key facets of each team, Johnson's ownership tenure in 2024 was graded as the worst across the entire NFL.
Considering the head-scratching moves that the Jets' ownership has made, they have been given the lowest grade possible in the NFLPA annual report cards.
