Hamas is set to free three more Israeli hostages as well as five Thai captives, and Israel is to release another 110 Palestinian prisoners.

An Israeli official says that Hamas will release three Israelis, including two women and an 80-year-old man, and five Thai nationals in the next hostage release, slated for Thursday.

Israel is set to release 110 Palestinian prisoners as part of the ongoing ceasefire agreement with Hamas, including 30 children and renowned resistance leader Zakaria Zubeidi. This release is part of a larger prisoner exchange initiative aimed at easing tensions between Israel and Palestinian factions.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Egypt's foreign minister on Tuesday it was important to ensure Hamas can never govern Gaza again, the State Department said, with their call coming after President Donald Trump suggested Egypt and Jordan should take more Palestinians.

An agreement has been reached between Israel and Hamas that involves the release of additional hostages and the return of Palestinians to the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
