March 6 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Chargers released linebacker Joey Bosa, their longest-tenured player, the team announced. The Chargers announced the move Wednesday night. Bosa, 29, signed a five-year, $135 million contract extension with the Chargers in 2020. His release saves the Chargers $25.36 million in salary cap space.
The New York Jets pretty clearly need more receiving help if they are to move on from Davante Adams and Allen Lazard.

Following up on today’s earlier news that veteran wide receiver D.K. Metcalf had requested a trade from the Seahawks, a few teams have been established as likely possible destinations for the 27-year-old. Most notably, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times has noted some connections to the Chargers.
