Jordan Spieth is chasing the Career Grand Slam for the ninth time at the PGA Championship, but he didn't get off to a great start in Thursday's first round.

Jordan Spieth came to Quail Hollow hoping to follow in Rory McIlroy’s footsteps and complete the career Grand Slam. After Thursday’s opening round of the PGA Championship, he’d probably be happy just to make the cut.

"I think if Rory (McIlroy) didn't complete the Slam at the Masters (last month), then it wouldn't have been a storyline for me here."
