A Georgia Democratic lawmaker is pushing for stricter gun safety laws to stem a tide of violence like the mass shooting last September at a high school northeast of Atlanta.

“I feel like they could’ve done more,” said junior Maurice Rivera Guzman about why he decided to walk out of class with hundreds of others at Apalachee High School on Tuesday.
