Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points and Ty Jerome scored 16 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter as the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers pulled away for a 121-100 victory over the visiting Miami Heat in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference first-round series Sunday.

Donovan Mitchell finished the victory with 30 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals while shooting 11/19 from the field and 2/9 from the three-point range in 33 minutes of playing time.

Led by Donovan Mitchell's 30 points and Ty Jerome's surprising 28 points off the bench, the Cavs handled the Miami Heat on Sunday in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs, 121-100. Darius Garland added 27 points for Cleveland, while Bam Adebayo (24 points, nine rebounds) and Tyler Herro (21 points) paced the Heat.
