Cal Fire's state fire marshal was leading the investigation at the Inner Richmond home on 2nd Avenue, between Geary Boulevard and Anza Street, a Yolo County spokesperson said.

The explosion, which left seven people missing, started a wildfire and forced some cities and counties to cancel or postpone Fourth of July fireworks shows.

The girl was fatally injured when a "large illegal fireworks display" set up by a local resident went awry, triggering an explosion, police said.
