Jan 19, 2024 · I just got a PA approved for Zepbound 12.5mg. I have been on Wegovy 2.4 for some 6 months with little results. I am worried my doc was too aggressive with the conversion to 12.5 mg but the PA is already approved and I another dose would require new PA. Has anyone did this jump and did you experience side effects? I had little side effects on Wegovy

Jan 4, 2024 · I did, from 1mg Wegovy to 7.5mg tirzepatide/Zepbound. Increased to 10mg last month. I think your conversion dose is in line with what I’ve seen here. I had nausea and fatigue on Wegovy, this is much, much better. I had stalled on Wegovy but didn’t tolerate a higher dose; I’m losing more consistently and rapidly on Zepbound!

Feb 9, 2024 · I'm one of those currently paying out-of-pocket Zepbound because of the prior authorization denials through my insurance. The cost is pretty steep and I was previously approved for Wegovy but haven't been able to get it filled since July! Yep, going on 7 months now. Anyway, I'm currently on week 2 of 5mg of Zep. No side effects.

I wanted to go directly to 10mg but my doctor wanted me to start at 2.5mg. I have to say for me personally having been on Saxsanda before Wegovy (due to shortages) Zepbound is far superior. 2.5mg gave me no side effects and took away all my food noise. I worried that the low dose would cause me to be hungry but it works differently than Wegovy.
