But calling a timeout you don't have is a dead ball penalty, we'd get half the distance but we'd still only have one chance to get the ball in the end zone.

Would rather have freeman be humbled early like that and respond (the way he has) than cruise into Clemson with one loss and presumably still a top 10 ranking. Huge wake up call that we all needed but the response is what makes the man and I’m liking the response.

For the players, I’m sure it is a similar pre-game tradition as being led in prayer by the chaplain (a Catholic priest) in the locker room, which they even did under Brian Kelly.
