I scanned a mom last week. All I saw was a gestational sac, no heartbeat yet. I assured her that was normal for an early pregnancy (5ish weeks), she expected to be a little further along based on her last period, but those calculations, sooo often, just aren't perfect. I told her to give it a week, come back, and we would likely see a heartbeat.
