INCIDENT UPDATE: Another video has emerged of a brawl at around 3am on Sunday on Smith Street. In the vision a woman can be seen approaching the group and appearing to kick a guard while he's on the ground. Police say a 20 year old woman has been charged with assault on a 21 year old man. The 21 year old was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital and released the same day. The woman will face court on Monday. | 9 News Darwin

The Albanese Labor Government is supporting more first homebuyers from Darwin into homeownership by increasing the property price cap for the 5% Deposit Scheme. Currently, the property price cap for the Northern Territory is $600,000. On 1 July 2026,two price caps will now operate in the Northern Territory – Darwin at $750,000 and the rest of the NT at $600,000.
