Several people told police dispatchers in Las Vegas that they were worried about a Utah girl's safety after getting no response from her or her mother while they were in Las Vegas for a cheer competition. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department released 911 calls connected to the incident, which began Feb. 15, 2026, at about 10:43 a.m., when LVMPD dispatch received a welfare-check request from Addilyn Smith's father.
