I have never heard an accurate representation of any southern Louisiana accent (Cajun/Creole) by a non-native. For whatever reason, it seems to be unimitable. Especially because it varies from town to town. This little series will be an attempt to capture some of the linguistic variety in our region’s English, starting in my own community, St Martin Parish.
